About me….

Hi! I’m Ashley. I am a mommy to three beautiful daughters (one an angel), a wife to an amazing husband, and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse. I have 11.5-years of experience in this specialty. My collaborator husband has 16-years of experience as an RN in the same subspecialty. The answer to the question you’re asking is… yes we did meet at work and enjoyed working together for the few years we were able to. If that wasn’t the question you were asking then I hope I answer it somewhere on my site.

Taking care of children and their families during their cancer journey was a challenging but very rewarding experience. Mainly because children are resilient and we (adults) don’t always give them credit or the space to prove it. Now, that I have been supporting my own child through this journey, I have even more respect (fist bump) for how parents with no medical background go through this.

That’s why I’m here. I’m going to share my experiences from professional eyes and a parent’s heart to help those who are in their own cancer story too. My background may make some things easier but trust me when I say it’s made it harder in a lot of ways. I hope all the parents that find themselves here can find validation, direction, inspiration, and hope.
